Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
A mild sedative inhaled through a mask that helps you feel relaxed and comfortable. You remain awake and aware, and the effects wear off quickly after the procedure.
- Fast-acting and wears off quickly
- You can drive yourself home
- Safe for most patients
Oral Conscious Sedation
A prescription medication taken before your appointment that creates a deeper state of relaxation. You'll be awake but very calm, and may not remember much of the procedure.
- Deeper relaxation than nitrous alone
- Ideal for longer procedures
- Requires someone to drive you home
